Report: Final Latin Mass at Saint Titus Church, Aliquippa, PA, - 4 September 2026

Following the recent announcement by Bishop Mark Eckman that the celebration of the Traditional Latin Mass at St. Titus Church in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania, is to be discontinued, the final Latin Mass was offered on the First Friday, 4 September 2026, by Canon William Avis of the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest and Pastor of Most Precious Blood of Jesus Parish in Pittsburgh, followed by a reception in the church hall.

Fr. Ladis J. Cizik, longtime celebrant of the Traditional Latin Mass at St. Titus, heard confessions prior to Mass, sat in choir, and assisted with the distribution of Holy Communion.

Anthony J. Rubino, Financial Secretary of Woodlawn Council 2161, presents a $500 scholarship grant check to seminarian David Prezzia, also a member of Woodlawn Council.
