Report: Feast of the Holy Innocents 2020

On Monday, 28 December 2020, Fr. Jean-Luc Zadroga, Administrator Pro Tem of St. Titus Parish, offered a Traditional Latin Mass at St. Titus Church in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania, for the Feast of the Holy Innocents.

The Mass was offered according to the Missal of St Pius V in violet vestments, rather than the red used on all the other feasts of Martyrs. The Gloria in excelsis was omitted, the Alleluia was replaced with a Tract, and Benedicamus Domino was said in place of Ite, missa est, as in Advent and Lent.  See the New Liturgical Movement for additional Liturgical Notes on the Feast of the Holy Innocents.

The Mass was sponsored by the Knights of Columbus Woodlawn Council 2161 Traditional Latin Mass Guild.

Report: Christmas Midnight Mass 2020

For the first time in 56 years, a Traditional Latin Mass was celebrated on Christmas Day at St. Titus Church in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania.  Fr. Boniface Hicks, OSB, offered the First or Midnight Mass by candlelight to a small group of the faithful who braved the evening snowstorm and slick roads to celebrate the Nativity of Our Lord and to attend this historic Mass.

A Solemn Mass had been planned, but due to the inclement weather, a Low Mass was offered.  The Mass was sponsored by the Knights of Columbus Woodlawn Council 2161 Traditional Latin Mass Guild.

Report: Jericho March - Dec 2020

On Thursday, 3 December 2020, members of the Knights of Columbus Woodlawn Council 2161 Traditional Latin Mass Guild traveled to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, to participate in the daily Jericho March around the state capitol building to pray for our state and country.

The day began with a 6:30am Traditional Latin Mass at Most Precious Blood of Jesus Parish in Pittsburgh, offered by Canon John O'Connor.  After Mass, Canon O'Connor blessed a reproduction of the flag that flew over the Catholic flagship at the Battle of Lepanto, and that would be carried in procession around the state capitol.

The Jericho marchers processed seven times around the capitol building while praying fifteen decades of the Holy Rosary.

After the procession, the Guild members visited the Blessed Sacrament at nearby St. Patrick Cathedral before journeying home.
