Report: Fr. Beaugrand, IBP, offers Votive Mass of Our Lady of the Hoy Rosary - Oct 2020

 
On Thursday, 22 October 2020, Fr. Hugues Beaugrand of the Institute of the Good Shepherd (IBP) offered the Votive Mass of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary at St. Titus Church in Aliquippa, PA.  Fr. Beaugrand was in the Pittsburgh area to attend the Catholic Identity Conference 2020, as a featured speaker.  Fr. Beaugrand was born in Britany, France.  He is currently stationed in the Diocese of Monterey, CA, serving Latin Mass communities in Hollister and Pismo Beach, 150 miles apart.  This was the second time Fr. Beaugrand offered Mass at St. Titus, having offered the Vigil of All Saints Mass in 2019.


The Mass was sponsored by the Knights of Columbus Woodlawn Council 2161 Traditional Latin Mass Guild.  The Knights were pleased to welcome Fr. Beaugrand back to St. Titus Church.

Report: Thirteenth Annual Battle of Lepanto Mass

 

On Wednesday, 7 October 2020, the Knights of Columbus Woodlawn Council 2161 Traditional Latin Mass Guild hosted a Solemn Mass at St. Titus Church, Aliquippa, Pennsylvania, to celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary and to commemorate the great Catholic victory at the Battle of Lepanto in 1571.  Leading the procession before Mass was a reproduction of the Holy League flag that flew on the Catholic flagship at the Battle of Lepanto.


The celebrant was Canon John O'Connor of the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest, Parochial Vicar of Most Precious Blood of Jesus Parish in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, assisted by Fr. Jean-Luc Zadroga, OSB, Administrator Pro Tem of St. Titus Parish, as deacon, and Canon William Avis, Pastor of Most Precious Blood of Jesus Parish, as subdeacon.


During the sermon, Canon O'Connor conveyed to the Knights of Woodlawn Council and the assembled faithful the greetings, prayers, and best wishes for a blessed feast day of Canon Matthew Talarico, Provincial Superior of the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest.
