All Latin Masses "Temporarily Suspended" at St. Titus Church in Aliquippa

The Knights of Columbus Woodlawn Council 2161 takes no pleasure in posting the following communication from Fr. Jean-Luc Zadroga, OSB, Administrator of Mary Queen of Saints Parish regarding the Traditional Latin Mass at St. Titus Church in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania.

Dear Faithful,

In response to Pope Francis’ motu proprio released last week, Bishop Zubik is suspending all Traditional Latin Masses, except for the Masses at Most Precious Blood of Jesus Parish.

I spoke with Father Gizler, our Regional Vicar today. He has expressed to me that Bishop Zubik is aware of the longstanding Latin Mass community at St. Titus, and the regular communication that has been maintained between this community and the Diocese of Pittsburgh. Father Gizler asked me to communicate to you all that he has confidence that our Masses at St. Titus will return after Bishop Zubik has time to consider how the motu proprio will be implemented here in Pittsburgh.

It is discouraging news, but not without hope!

Please keep praying the Rosary that our Latin Mass will soon be permitted at St. Titus!

In the Sacred Heart of Jesus,

Father Jean-Luc, OSB,
Administrator,
Mary, Queen of Saints Parish
